Boy oh boy talk about some interesting challenges on engagement-session day for Washington DC based Jared and Maria. It was FREEZING at the Tidal Basin which is where we were slated to start our shoot. I'm talking like 30°F and the wind coming off the water was brutal. In addition to the temperature, construction was happening everywhere. We didn't let it get in our way though. Maria was an absolute champion in the cold weather and her beautiful flowy green dress.
Jared and Maria hired us to photograph their wedding that would take place a few months later at St. Augustine Church with a reception to follow at the Josephine Butler Parks Center - directly across the street from Meridian Hill Park. We would wander over to Meridian Hill Park for the second half of our engagement shoot to scope it out for the Wedding Day.
